Upgrade Excel Add-in

Keeping the Excel Add-in up to date ensures access to the latest features, performance improvements, and security updates. Beginning with Version 2023 Release 2, the Add-in supports seamless upgrades without requiring manual uninstallation. To avoid compatibility issues, always install an Add-in version that matches your SEI Server version.

Use the table below to determine the correct upgrade procedure based on the version currently installed on each workstation.

Upgrade instructions by installed version​

Installed Add-in VersionUpgrade Steps
Earlier than Version 2023 Release 21. Uninstall the previous Excel Add-in from each workstation.
2. Install the new version using Nectari Excel Add-in – x64.exe (or SEI).
Version 2023 Release 2 or later1. Run the new installer directly—no manual uninstall is required.
2. (Optional) Monitor installation or troubleshoot using log files if needed.
