Acumatica
The Acumatica template provides a ready‑to‑use set of data models, views, dashboards, and workbooks to help you quickly analyze your Acumatica data. It supports multiple deployment scenarios, whether you’re working with a single company, consolidating several entities, or connecting through the SEI Cloud.
For non‑cloud integration and consolidated deployments, the template also supports accessing financial data in real time, allowing SEI to retrieve Acumatica financial information on demand. This option is not available for Cloud deployments.
Start by selecting the installation method that best matches your environment. After setup, explore the predefined analyses included with the template. For details on available data models, dashboards, and workbooks, see Predefined Analyses.
Prerequisites
Before you start, make sure you have:
- Acumatica: A supported version installed.
- Destination database: Collation set to SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS (match Acumatica if separate).
- Application Pool: If using a custom identity for Acumatica, use the same for DataSync.
- DataSync: A supported version installed.
- HTTPS certificate: If Acumatica uses HTTPS, bind DataSync to a CA-approved certificate.
- Installation package: the latest package from ShareFile.
Installation scenarios
Choose the scenario that best matches your environment:
| Scenario | Description | When to choose |
|---|---|---|
| Non-SEI Cloud | Uses DataSync to synchronize your data to a warehouse hosted outside the SEI Cloud. The template reads from this synchronized source. Supports accessing financial data in real time. | For organizations that want to manage, store, and report on their data independently, without relying the SEI Cloud. |
| Consolidated | Uses DataSync to centralize data from multiple Acumatica companies into a unified warehouse for group‑level reporting. Supports accessing financial data in real time. | For organizations managing multiple Acumatica companies that require consolidated or group reporting. |
| SEI Cloud | Syncs data to the Cloud through DataSync. The template connects directly to the Cloud‑hosted data warehouse. Credentials are provided after Cloud provisioning. | For distributed teams or organizations that prefer not to maintain local servers. |
If you want to use the Sales and Finance cubes, some installation steps require additional sub-steps. Follow the instructions in each scenario for details.
