Online/Offline
The Online/Offline feature allows you to continue using the Add‑in even when you're not connected to your Central Point. This is helpful when working remotely, traveling, or simply wanting to reduce server traffic while reviewing a static snapshot of your data.
When offline, you can open and view existing reports, but you cannot refresh data or use live features such as Prompt or Data Extraction until you reconnect.

The button label automatically updates to show whether you are currently online or offline.
When to use offline mode
- Reducing server load: Review reports without triggering server calls or data refreshes.
- Reviewing data offline: Work with static reports without drilling down or accessing real‑time data.
- Distributing static Excel workbooks: Share a file with fixed data so recipients don’t need to connect to the server.
- Working without internet access: Continue reviewing your data locally even when you’re offline.
Switch to offline mode
- In Excel, open the Add-ins tab.
- Select Online to switch to offline mode.

NecAccessformulas are disabled. - If you select Refresh Formulas, the formulas will display #Offline until you return online.

Return to online mode
- In Excel, open the Add-ins tab.
- Select Offline to reconnect to real-time data. Once reconnected, all formulas in the Excel workbook refresh automatically.
