Production Management

The Production Management dashboard provides an at-a-glance view of active work orders, overdue production, remaining quantities, completion levels, and make-to-order activity. It combines high-level production KPIs with backlog, status, finished-item, and late-order analysis. Use this dashboard to monitor production workload, identify overdue work orders, and understand which finished items account for the largest outstanding quantities.

The top row summarizes the current production position, including the number of active and overdue orders, total remaining quantity, average completion percentage, and the proportion of make-to-order activity. The charts below explain where the backlog sits, how orders are distributed by status and production type, and which finished items contribute most to the workload. The detail worksheet provides the work-order records behind the late and overdue totals.

How to use this dashboard

• Monitor active and overdue work orders to understand the size and urgency of the current production backlog.
• Review remaining production quantity to see how much work is still outstanding.
• Track average completion percentage to assess overall progress across active work orders.
• Compare make-to-order and make-to-stock activity across work order status groups.
• Identify finished items with the largest production volume or remaining workload.
• Investigate late work orders using the detailed worksheet to review due dates, days late, remaining quantities, completion, and status.

Key performance indicators (KPIs)

Key performance indicators (KPIs) are displayed at the top of the dashboard. They provide an at-a-glance summary of the current production workload and update based on the filters you apply.

KPI	What it measures
Active Orders	Number of work orders currently considered active.
Overdue Orders	Number of active work orders whose due date has passed.
Overdue %	Percentage of active work orders that are overdue.
Total Remaining Qty	Total quantity still required to complete the selected work orders.
Avg Completion %	Average completion percentage across the selected work orders.
MTO %	Percentage of selected work orders classified as make to order.

Visual components

Backlog by Date Bucket	Column	Shows remaining work ticket quantity by due-date bucket, making it easy to distinguish overdue backlog from upcoming production requirements.
MTO/MTS Orders by Status Group	Stacked Column	Compares make-to-order and make-to-stock work orders across status groups such as Estimate, Open, and Released.
Production by Finished Item	Horizontal Bar	Ranks finished items by production quantity, highlighting the products contributing the most to the selected workload.
Late / Overdue Work Orders	Worksheet	Lists late and overdue work orders with details such as work ticket number, parent item, due date, days late, remaining quantity, completion percentage, and status.

Filters

Use the filtering panel at the top of the dashboard to control which data is shown. The filters apply to all views and ensure the dashboard reflects the selections you choose.
