Polar Design Properties

Properties specific to polar charts are described below. For general configuration options, see Generic Views Properties, which apply to all view types.

To access these properties, first create or open a polar chart. Then, from the Toolbar panel on the right, select Chart Properties and open the Design tab.

Titles

Properties

Option	Description
Text	Enter the main title displayed above the polar chart.
Font	Select the font family for the title text.
Size	Set the font size for the title.
Style	Apply formatting to the title text such as italic or bold.

Subtitle and detailed info

Option	Description
Text	Enter a subtitle or supporting information to appear below the main title.
Show Drill-Down Info	Show or hide drill-down actions beneath the subtitle.

Category Axis

Data Labels

Option	Description
Text	Enter a label for the category axis.
Label Orientation	Set the label angle in degrees to improve readability, especially with long or overlapping labels.
Label Step	Define how often labels appear on the axis. For example, a value of 2 shows one label out of every two, skipping the ones in between.

Grid Lines

Display grid lines along the category axis to make comparisons easier when reading values across bars.

Y Axis

Data Labels

Option	Description
Position	Show or hide the Y axis label and set its location.
Text	Enter a label for the Y axis.
Format	Choose how values appear on the Y axis using abbreviated, numeric, or percentage format.
Decimal Places	Set the number of decimal places when using numeric or percentage formats.

Custom Scale

Option	Description
Min Y	Set the starting value for the Y axis to control the lower boundary of the chart scale.
Max Y	Set the ending value for the Y axis to control the upper boundary of the chart scale.

Grid Lines

Display horizontal grid lines across the chart based on Y axis values to improve readability.

Axis Style

Label Style

Option	Description
Font	Select the font for axis label text.
Size	Set the label font size.
Style	Apply formatting to axis labels such as italic or bold.

Title Style

Option	Description
Font	Select the font for the axis title.
Size	Set the font size for the title.
Style	Apply formatting to the axis title such as italic or bold.

Legend

Properties

Option	Description
Position	Choose where to place the legend: bottom, top, left, or right of the chart.
Size	Set the font size for legend text.

Labels & ToolTips

Labels

Option	Description
Type	Choose what appears on each label: Value, Label, or Label and Value.
Font	Select the font family for label text.
Size	Set the font size of label text.
Position	Set the label position: Default, Center, Inside Base, Inside End, or Outside End.
Margins	Set spacing around labels for top, bottom, left, and right. Depending on Orientation or chart type, some margins may have no effect.
Orientation	Set the label text angle in degrees.

Tooltips

Option	Description
Type	Choose what appears in tooltips: Value, Label, or Label and Value.
Font	Select the font family used for tooltips.
Size	Set the font size of tooltip text.

Value

Option	Description
Format	Choose how values are displayed: Abbreviated, Numeric, or Percentage.
Decimal Places	Set how many decimal places to display.

Marked Zone

Properties

Option	Description
Color	Select the color used to highlight the marked zone.
Opacity	Set the transparency level for the marked zone. A higher value makes it more visible.
Min Y	Enter the starting Y value for the marked zone.
Max Y	Enter the ending Y value for the marked zone.
