Configuring the Financial Module
The Sage Intacct General Ledger (GL) module in SEI includes two GL data models:
-
GL Summary: This data model provides a summarized, account-level view of financials. It is useful for quick, high-level summary reports. Opening and Ending Balances have their own fields.
-
GL Transactions: This data model includes line-level transaction details. Opening Balances for every account will be found as a record in fiscal period 1.
The Opening Balance must be generated for both the GL Summary and GL Transactions data models. This can be done using an info page in the configuration folder and can later be automated using the OLAP Manager. Both data models rely on the same report codes, which can be configured in the configuration folder as well.
