Map View
The Map view is a visual tool to represent values geographically by customizing the content and the layout of the data. There are two types of maps: map with Google Maps and vector map.
Two fields are mandatory in order to load a map with Google Maps. The Data Model must have the Longitude and Latitude fields set as a decimal data type and be configured as a Measure column type so they can be bound to the Google Map properties.
Maps do not work with Pivot fields. All the fields selected must be in Groups or Columns.
Each map has its own distinct properties that can be personalized.
When saving a map the current position and zoom level will be saved as the opening position.
Map with Google Maps
The Map type uses Google Maps and requires access to the Internet. If you plan to schedule this map type for distribution, make sure the SEI server has online access to Google Maps.
