Breaking Changes

• For Cloud customers using the Excel Add-in: If you are using a deployment installation script or a filter in the firewall, please be aware that the service address now uses port 443 instead of 8443. (Note that when you install the Excel Add-In you need to provide the service address in the following format: xxxxx.nectari.com) 18215

• As of April 11, 2023, Microsoft Office 2013 will no longer be supported by Microsoft nor by Nectari.

• As of October 10, 2023, Windows Server 2012 R2 will no longer be supported by Microsoft nor by Nectari.

Installation

• SAML2 configuration has been added to the Authentication page. You no longer need to have two configurations for Web Client and Excel Add-in; the SAML2 configuration now applies to both. Also, you no longer need to redo the SAML2 configuration every time there is a new upgrade. 13442, 13583

Web Client

• Improvements to the Web Workbook (Preview):

  • Shortcut keys are now available in the workbook. 17198

  • Improvements were made to the handling of filters that are passed when using queries. 13190

    Note

    The Workbook will return an error if the data model refers to non-existing data model parameters.

  • The Smart Cache has been improved. A logging scope has been added to display more details in the logs, such as information about the Central Point, process id, and environment. 17783

• The Data Model Designer has been improved: 17455

  • New option to preview and copy the SQL statement;

  • New column in the Designer view at the table level to display the field data type;

  • Headers in the grid always now remain visible;

  • New Search option to filter your columns in the Fields table.

• A new Export Resolution option for charts, maps, and dashboards is available in the Central Point Configurator. There are five scaling options to choose from when you export a dashboard for PNG and PDF formats to reduce file size. 16113

Distribution

• Performance has been improved when executing schedule jobs to distribute views, dashboards and reports that contain distribution filters. 18074

Fixes

Installation

• When uninstalling or upgrading the Nectari Server, some errors would appear in the Web Client and Scheduler API logs. 17347

Web Client

• The Edit Advanced Filter data model role was missing in versions 2022 R1.5, 2022 R1.6, and 2022 R1.7. 18798

• When copying a data model that contained selection pages, the selection pages were sometimes not copied. 4425

• In the Dashboard filtering panel, buttons were sometimes not displayed properly for some languages. 17361

• When exporting a worksheet in PDF format, the column headers would sometimes not be displayed if using Fit To or Zoom from the Page Setup.18485

OLAP Manager

• This issue was sometimes encountered when loading several OLAP cubes if the Logging option was enabled: Index was outside the bounds of the array or The tasks argument included a null value. 18704

DataSync

• Sage Intacct and Custom API connectors: When Load By Partition was enabled, if a partition failed to load, the process would continue to load the tables instead of stopping.18278

• Fields of Date and Timestamp type from an Oracle source were sometimes converted to wrong values when synchronizing data to a SQL Server destination. 18016

• In Sage Intacct, data was sometimes missing when performing an incremental load to due a wrong time zone setting.18749

• With Nectari Cloud, Sage Intacct fields with multiple dimensions would only have the first dimension value when retrieving values. 18050
