Settings for SAP HANA

This topic describes how to configure a new SAP HANA connection in DataSync.

To configure the connection:

  1. Open the SAP HANA Database Explorer.

  2. Right-click your instance and select Properties.

  3. In DataSync, create a new source connection for SAP HANA.

  4. Fill out the fields in the Connection Properties panel as described in the table below.

  5. Click Save.

Connection Properties
Description Enter a name for the source connection.
SAP HANA Cloud Select this option to connect to the Cloud version of SAP HANA.
Server

Copy and paste the Host value from the SAP HANA Database Explorer. The Server name has the following format: xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx.hana.trial-us10.hanacloud.ondemand.com where xxx are alphanumeric values.

Port The default port is 443 for SAP HANA Cloud.
Database

Copy and paste the Database value from the SAP HANA Database Explorer.

Schema

This property restricts the schemas reported to a subset of the available schemas. You can specify several schemas by separating them with commas; for example: SchemaA,SchemaB,SchemaC.

Username Enter the same user name as the SAP HANA Database Explorer.
Password Enter the same password as the SAP HANA Database Explorer.
