Sorting Dimensions

You can set a specific sorting order for each Dimension within the Groups section.

1. Right-click a Dimension and select Advanced Options.
   

   

2. Drag and drop the value from the Sort group on aggregated value section to the right section and define the sorting order (ASC = Ascending and DES = Descending).

   Advanced Options	Description
   Show First	Retrieves only the specified amount of group records, based on the sort order. All the other groups will be aggregated together under the heading Others.
   Display "Others" for remaining values	Charts have the option to hide the Others value by unticking this check box.
   Sort Group on Aggregated Value	This specifies the sort order of the records based on selected aggregated values. Drag and drop the columns to be sorted in the box to the right. Specify the sort order by clicking on the down arrow. ASC (ascending) or DESC (descending).

   Example

   The example below shows a sorting order for the Year dimension.
