Uninstalling Excel Add-in Manually

After uninstalling SEI Excel Add-in, perform these steps to make sure the application is completely removed:

  1. Detach the XLA from Excel.

  2. Remove all files and folders from the installation repository if they are still there.

  3. Remove EXCEL.EXE.Config from the Office folder.

    1. C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\root\Office16 for Excel 64 bits 2016 and later.

    2. C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\root\Office16 for Excel 32 bits 2016 and later.

  4. Remove the SEI Excel Add-in parameters from the registry.

    1. Search for Registry Editor in the Windows menu and open it.

    2. Under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Nectari Software Inc., remove the Excel Add-in folder if it still exists.

  5. Remove the SEI Excel Add-in from the registry.

    1. Still in Registry Editor, select Edit > Find....

    2. Enter SEI Excel Add-in and click Find Next.

    3. Delete every occurrence of SEI Excel Add-in.

    4. Still in Registry Editor, select Edit > Find....

    5. Enter Ebisoft.Excel and click Find Next.

    6. Delete every occurrence of Ebisoft.Excel.

    Tip

    We recommend that you install regscanner to find all instances of SEI Add-in in the Registry.
