Resolving Conflicting Information

Since data keeps coming from the source tables, there may be conflicts with the destination tables. Conflicts are sent to the historical tables. When you resolve conflicts, updates are made in the final tables.

If field tracking is not enabled, data in the final tables is overwritten. The same applies if there was no previous record; data is directly sent to the final tables.

You can enter the value at the group level to update everything under the group.

To resolve conflicts:

  1. Expand the appropriate module.

  2. Expand the Conflicting Information folder.

  3. Open the appropriate historical worksheet.

  4. In the Keep Flag column, choose the version to keep by setting it to 1 for the appropriate field.

  5. Update the FINAL table with the HIST table changes. Right-click the Load Data to FINAL and HIST Tables data model and select View Info Pages.

  6. In the Update FINAL table with flagged row section, click the prompt icon and select the Template Code from the list.

  7. Click Load.
