Uninstalling SEI Manually

After uninstalling SEI, perform these steps to make sure the application is completely removed:

1. Remove all files and folders from the installation repository if they are still there, except log files if you want to keep them.

2. Stop and remove BIService.SEI from Services if it exists.

   1. Access Services by searching Services in the Windows menu.

   2. Right-click on BIService.SEI and click on Stop.

   3. Open a command prompt as Administrator and run sc delete BIService.SEI.

3. Stop and remove websites and application pools related to the Web Client and the Scheduler API.

   1. Search for IIS in the Windows menu and open it.

   2. Under the current machine, open the Sites folder and remove WebClient.SEI and Scheduler.SEI if they exist.

   3. Click Application Pools and remove WebClient.SEI and Scheduler.SEI if they exist.

4. Remove the SEI Server parameters from the registry.

   1. Search for Registry Editor in the Windows menu and open it.

   2. Under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Nectari Software Inc., remove the SEI Server if it still exists.

5. Remove the SEI Server from the registry.

   1. Still in Registry Editor, select Edit > Find....

   2. Enter SEI Server and click Find Next.

   3. Delete every occurrence of SEI Server.

   Tip

   We recommend that you install regscanner to find all instances of SEI Server in the Registry.
